固定された価値観の中で「評価をする」という行為から生まれる違和感に着目 した。
この世の中は、たくさんの小さな社会の重なりでできている。その社会の 中では、しばしば固定された価値観にとらわれ、社会を構成する一員はその社会 の価値観によって判断される。個人が望む望まないに関わらず、組み込まれた社 会組織の中で、いつの間にか私たちは評価されカテゴライズされる。そしてまた 私たち自身もその行為を繰り返す。
こうした社会構造の中では、多面的な視点を持った価値基準は生まれない。また、相手を認めようとする余裕も生まれないのではないだろうか。
知らないということへの恐れから生じる価値付けの構造は、近代以前から続いてきた。この知らないを知ろうとするためには、価値付けに対して違和感を抱く必要があるのだ。
本展示では、特にこうした価値付けを行う場としての教育現場を舞台に作品を展開していく。今日の学校教育は、教師もメディアも親も、多様な価値観を育む役割として、機能は十分とは言えないだろう。
個人の自由な成長と社会の調和と存続。このバランスを今後どう保っていくべきな のか。こうしたテーマを、評価をする基準や構造の曖昧さに着目しながら、ユー モラスで皮肉のきいた作品として表出させていく。

I’ve focused on my discomfort I feel whenever I come across value judgement based on the fixed, inflexible valuation system.
This world consists of numerous piles of small societies. People are judged and categorized by which society they belong to and by such a society’s value system whether they like it or not. People often unconsciously follow and repeat such a value system. This social structure deprives its members of chances to develop multi-angled perspective to value system and leave no room to nurture respect to others.
Lack of knowledge still intimidates people as it has been so ever since pre-modern times. To widen your knowledge base, you must start questioning your value system you’ve been accustomed to.
Being skeptical about inflexible standard value judgement practice in a world of art, We are trying to showcase what can be done at the education field. Teachers, media and parents all fail to convey a diversity of values to students.
My works are intended to put spotlight on absurdity of what are considered normal in our daily life and add humorous and, sometimes, satirical touch to these objects so that students can learn the importance of not limiting themselves to stereotype views while paying due respect to stability of society and sustainability

日々の生活の中から感じる世の不条理や、イメージと現実のズレなどをテーマに作品を制作。
特 に不条理さを特徴とするナンセンスユーモアを取り上げ、笑えるけれど皮肉のこもった表現を 行っている。

大学在学中から、既製品を扱ったコンセプチュアルアートを制作。
プロジェクト型の作品「あなたに寄り添う。暮らしに寄り添う。」では、だれも が一定の価値を見出してきた" モノ" に対し、その" モノ" の用途としての価値を剥奪し、新しい 価値を埋め込み、商品として販売をする活動を行ってきた。
その他、映像やインスタレーション表現で、両面価値や曖昧な価値判断に焦点をあてながら、日 常に潜む違和感をユーモラスに置き換えていくような作品を日々制作している。

Kazuki Samata
Pursuing readymades conceptual art works with a central motif, “Anatani-yorisou. Kurashini-yorisou” (Cuddle up to you and your everyday life.) since undergraduate days.
How? First strip the key value out of daily goods in your mind. Then, embed completely new and different values to them to the extent that they have new market value. Take full advantage of visual, installation and other forms of expressions that shed light on subtle yet distinct feeling of discomfort and transform them into witty and lovable art pieces.
